UCL Anthropology – London – Senior Teaching Fellow in Anthropology, Creativity and Enterprise
Full Time: The appointment will be on UCL Grade 8.
The salary range will be £43,884 to £51,769 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The Department of Anthropology at UCL is a research-led department with an international reputation, offering innovative teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In 2017 we launched an innovative degree in Creative and Collaborative Enterprise. This degree synthesises social theory, creative practice and start-up methodologies to help students launch innovative enterprises.
We seek applicants with an understanding of anthropology and creative practices. It will be an advantage if a candidate also has experience of enterprise. Candidates with a background and interest that complements the interests of the programme lead in the Department of Anthropology are particularly sought.
This is an open-ended core funded academic appointment and is available from September 2019.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record in ethnographic practice and in the creation of performing arts. They will also have experience of setting up and leading a variety of different projects. They will be able to contribute to the teaching in the MA Creative and Collaborative Enterprise and will take a leading role in providing pastoral care for the students. It is essential that they have training to Masters level in Social or Cultural Anthropology.
