Resident Academic Full Time Post in Social/Cultural Anthropology

Applications are invited for a Resident Academic Full Time post in Social/Cultural Anthropology the Department of Anthropological Sciences within the Faculty of Arts of the University of Malta.
The appointment will be on a two-year definite contract, which may be renewed subject to a one-year probationary period.
The appointee will be required to contribute to the teaching, research and other activities of the Department of Anthropological Sciences within the Faculty of Arts, and as may be required by the University.
Candidates must be in possession of a Ph.D. or an equivalent research-based doctorate in Anthropology. The selected candidate is expected to be fully competent to teach in different areas of Social and Cultural Anthropology. While all specialisations will be considered candidates will also be expected to be able teach in methodology and contribute to the core areas of Economic Anthropology, Political Anthropology, Kinship and Anthropology of Religion. Regional expertise is open. Teaching is conducted entirely in English.
