The salary for the Research Associate will be paid at Grade 6, £37,412 to £44,015, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.
The salary for the Research Fellow will be paid at Grade 7, £45,259, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance
We are recruiting an experienced post-doctoral researcher with ethnographic and realist methodological expertise in maternity, health or social care, to join a team conducting a 27-month, NIHR funded study national study ‘Strengthening the Implementation and Operationalisation of ‘Open Disclosure’ with Women and Families after Unexpected Harm in NHS Maternity Care’.
The researcher will be involved in all aspects of the research which includes review, stakeholder interviews and ethnographic case-studies and a range of dissemination activities including film. The fellow will be hosted in a vibrant, multi-disciplinary research department.
Practical experience of engaging people in the study of very sensitive research topics would be an advantage, and an interest in this topic area and in maternity care delivery and improvement. The post will require some travel and overnight stays to two field sites in England during the second year of the project.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract 25 months
This is a full-time 100% full time equivalent.
The selection process will include a 5-minute presentation and panel interview.
